Washington, DC – Persist DC, a grassroots organization that mobilizes support and electoral action to advance Senator Elizabeth Warren’s blueprint for progressive policies, endorsed Jordan Grossman for Ward 2 DC Councilmember. Persist DC has already begun leveraging its robust and active local volunteer network to connect with voters and encourage them to vote for Jordan. The organization is not formally affiliated with Senator Warren.

“Persist DC is excited to throw its support behind Jordan Grossman’s candidacy for Ward 2 Councilmember,” said Persist DC. “As a fifth generation DC resident, Jordan is the candidate that best understands the issues that most impact the Ward 2 community, from fighting for DC statehood, to ensuring equity for our schools, to championing affordable housing and quality child care. While the Ward 2 race is historically crowded, only Jordan has the progressive platform we need to move Ward 2 forward.”

“I’m honored to have the support of Persist DC and their grassroots members,” said Jordan Grossman. “I believe we need to make DC government work for all residents, not just the wealthy and well-connected, so everyone can afford to live and thrive right here in the Ward 2 neighborhoods that we love.”

Persist DC joins over twenty organizations and high-profile leaders who have endorsed Jordan, including Our Revolution DC, Senator Amy Klobuchar, local essential worker unions and progressive groups.

Jordan Grossman is a fifth generation DC resident and former Obama Administration, Capitol Hill, DC federal district court, and DC Medicaid official. He’s running to represent Ward 2 on the DC Council to end corruption, fight for DC statehood and equity for our schools, and make it easier for residents to afford a home, find high-quality child care, walk, bike, or take public transit, and pay off student loan debt.
